Health care professional have to perform an important task and that is to understand their patient's need, for that they should be able to motivate their patients.

Health care professionals need to provide a good customer service. People should be free to talk about their difficulties, and in return they should feel the warmth from the other side. Give respect to the patients, be pleasant and friendly, avoid being too friendly. During a course of treatment the patient should be given the full information about the type and time taken for the treatment, the degree of discomfort that they will be suffering during the treatment. It gives them time to mentally prepare themselves for the treatment.
A language that is comfortable for the patients should be spoken, that is easily understood by them. Physical appearance of the health care professional should be decent, that is good dressing, no heavy jewelry, makeup, etc, and that makes you look less professional. Patients should be advised the importance of the prescription and how they should be followed, what can be the harmful effects of not following.
Some drugs show side effects, which can disturb patients, so a health care professional should guide them about it and tell them not to worry. What are the precautions to be taken during the course of treatment, other than the prescribed medications? Giving a prescription is not the only job of the health care professional, but to check the progress of the patient, in the form of a chart whether it is negative or positive, so that necessary changes can be taken.
The health care professional can tell the patient to check themselves also in his absence. Food habits of the patients are to be checked and also if the patient is a smoker or an alcoholic, as it can affect the patient negatively, so they should be advised against it and told to follow good eating habits. Patients should be told by the health care professional to check what medicines they are prescribed, how it works and check the expiry date. These are some important tips that a health care professional should follow in order to be recognized by everyone.
